My vision for my clothing line is for the general public to get to know what Dave’s Joint the brand is all about. Since the inception of my brand 11 years ago, my platform has been able to resonate from streetball tournaments in playgrounds all over New York City to high school gyms across the country to college basketball games at venues like Madison Square Garden and the Barclays Center in New York City to Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. to the legendary Palestra in Philadelphia and many more.

I want my brand to identify with the suburbanites as well as those from the ‘hood, where I’m from. I want it to identify with the people at the coffee shops, as well as those from the parks and other social hangouts. When people think of Dave’s Joint, I want them to think of a vessel, a platform that gives people the opportunity to be recognized through the game of basketball.

As for the clothing line, it’s something that I could never in my wildest dreams could’ve imagined. Thanks to Shirts & Skins’ CEO, Clark Chen, it is now becoming a reality and I am excited for it. I want something that will bring meaning and will serve inspiration to the youths and other people out there, even the elders. I’m trying to build something that brings the community together.
